University of Portsmouth: Fees Only Bursaries Available

Uni PortsmouthThe Centre for European and International Studies Research (CEISR) at the University of Portsmouth is offering fees-only studentships, available for a three-year period (full-time) or a five-year period (part-time) of doctoral study commencing in September 2014. The Centre welcomes applications from students wishing to work on projects in any of the areas indicated below.

Please note that these awards will not cover maintenance costs. However, students will be entitled to financial support for conference attendance and paid part-time teaching hours where practically possible will be made available but this cannot be guaranteed. Candidates should apply using the standard University of Portsmouth Postgraduate Application form – you can either use our online application form or print the paper application form below:

When completing the online application form please ensure that you select the correct course (and associated code) and indicated below:

If using the online application form you can upload all your supporting documents to the application form – please remember to include your CV, copies of your qualifications and references.

If using the paper application form please send your completed application form and coversheet to the address below, together with your Curriculum Vitae, copies (not originals) of your highest qualifications, degree level and above’, two academic references (your referees can also send the references separately to us).

Your research proposal should under no circumstances exceed 1500 words and should include a 150-word abstract aimed at non-specialists in the field.
